Hertfordshire Scouts has a strong water activities section organising sailing opportunities for young people. We offer instructor training as well as RYA and BCU certification.
The County also maintains a number of crafts for use in Scout water activities - to lead your own water activities you will require Adventurous Activity Authorisation.

This course is due to be held at Brightlingsea working from Morgan Marine's Boatyard.
​Dates: Sunday 3rd May - Monday 4th May 2026, 9.30am until 5.00pm.
Price: £117 per person​
Cost inclusive of certificate, Handbook and Logbook.
Accommodation/Camping: Each person or group will be responsible for their own camping arrangements.
